In the yard
That evening there where tow owls in the yard, a great grey owl and a this one great horned owl, both hooting away.

spotted sandpiper

A very common sandpiper, but recognized by me, for it's dark spots on white underparts, and yellow ( pinkish) bill with black tip. Apparently it bobs it's tail.

lesser yellowlegs nest
May 16, 2016, walking through the swamp around mooseskull lake by accident I flushed a lesser yellow legs off her nest.
On the lake this week there are more then 4 lesser yellowlegs, maybe 4 bonaparte gulls, maybe 4 barrow's golden eyes, a mallard pair, a dozen scaup, and on the shore I spotted, robins, grey jays and a pair of rusty blackbirds.
