spring birds

March 16,2014
a grey jay sang the most enduring song ever heard.
from a tree top
and after descended onto the ice

That day we also saw a flock of bohemian waxwings

Later that week i saw a flock of snow buntings.

And a few days ago the crossbill, which might be a winter resident, but i had not seen it this winter yet.

Yesterday  we came upon a flock of boreal chickadees, which i am of the understanding, live in flocks in the winter, and in pairs to raise a family.
